Great size … Big arm … Ranked 5th best Senior QB by ESPN … Good accuracy running to his right … Doesn’t run much, but flashes ability … Has poise and pocket presence … Deals with pressure situations well … Will sometimes throw the ball off his back foot under pressure and float it … … CAA offensive player of the year in 2007 … Potential day one pick .. played out of the spread formation so is not used to taking ball from center. College career

Senior Year

2007 was Flacco’s most successful season. Flacco led his team to an 8-3 regular season record while compiling over 3,300 yards, 18 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. Arguably his best game came against Division 1-A Navy where he threw for 434 yards and four touchdowns. Flacco showed another solid performance in the first ever meeting against Delaware State University in the first round of the playoffs. Behind Cuff’s record-setting day, Flacco threw efficiently for 189 yards and a touchdown. Many sports pundits have Flacco as a late first day, or early second day pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. ESPN’s Jeff Pearlman went so far as to call Flacco a “second- or third-round selection”.[1] Flacco continued UD’s playoff run by upsetting the Northern Iowa Panthers 39-27 in the FCS quarterfinals and upsetting the Southern Illinois Salukis the next weekend in the semifinals. Flacco threw for over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns against both the Panthers and Salukis.

v Northern Iowa: Led upset win over number one seed, with crucial TD on a QB sneak // v Southern Illinois: Got going with good quick passing at the end of the first after a slow start and hit 9 of 10 at one stage in the second quarter … Great playaction fake for 8 yard TD pass to TE in flat … Scrambled for 22 yards, almost losing fumble, but was ruled down … Deep throw down seam to TE in stride for 44 yards … Lofted pass off back foot to wide open TE in endzone was floated, allowing DB to get over and knock it incomplete … Stepped up and threw to WR in endzone for 9 yard TD … Underthrew deep ball badly off back foot, but got lucky with pass interference call … Led drive for winning FG in fourth … Finished with 243 yards and 2 TDs passing // v Appalachian State: Performed well, despite heavy pressure, but was unable to generate enough offense to keep up with App. State … Flushed out and threw incomplete on 4th down at the one … Good pass to the corner of the endzone for 24 yard TD, but penalty overturned it … Threw 39 yard TD pass to the endzone at the sideline … Great job to avoid sack and throw the ball away … Deep throw down the sideline for 42
